Pre-employment screening

To assess the fitness of prospective employees against the particular job applied for. Identify the work related health risks of the proposed employment Design a pre-employment health questionnaire to meet the specific needs of your business.

Carry out paper based screening Carry out physical medical based upon the information based upon the questionnaire. Write to GPs or specialist doctors for more information depending on information declared on the health questionnaire. Advise on the requirement for health surveillance or screening in relation to a particular job role. Advise where necessary, on any reasonable adjustments to the work environment that might be required in light of declared health condition as defined under the Disability Discrimination Act 1995.

Health surveillance

Employers are legally obliged to provide a safe workplace for their employees. This is achieved through regular risk assessments under COSHH and ACOPS and programmes of health surveillance are then implemented appropriately to the needs of the business eg audiometry, spirometry , workstation assessments or folk lift truck medicals.

Sickness management & rehabilitation.SSA Qualitycare Occupational Health advisers are well experienced and will work together with you to resolve even the most difficult cases where fitness to work is an issue.

Health Promotion/ Health awareness days

SSA Qualitycare Occupational Health will organise health awareness days at your business premises. Sessions to include national health campaigns eg No Smoking Day or Healthy heart week. Exhibition displays of relevant topics. Health promotion material in public areas of your business.
